Film Summary / Synopsis ;
The story begins in 1991 in Da
Nang, Vietnam, where an experienced assassin named Moody moves quietly through
a crowded area before entering a house. Inside, he discovers a horrifying
scene—bodies scattered across the room. As he carefully searches the place, he
opens a closet and suddenly finds a young girl pointing a gun at him. She looks
ready to shoot, but she hesitates because the weapon isn’t cocked. Instead of
reacting violently, Moody calmly approaches her, diffuses the tension, and
decides to take her with him.
Decades later, the story shifts to Bucharest, Romania, where a kidnapping shakes the underworld. The victim is the son of a powerful mafia leader, and panic spreads among the boy’s guards. A ransom of three million euros is demanded, but when the guards arrive at the meeting point, they find no sign of the boy—only a mysterious woman driving a van. She negotiates briefly before being searched and taken to the mafia boss, Don Preda. Despite his threats of brutal retaliation against her team, the woman remains composed and reveals she didn’t come for money—she came to meet him. Within moments, she eliminates his men with deadly precision and walks away as snipers, led by Moody, silently take out the remaining guards. The woman is revealed to be Anna, the same girl Moody rescued years ago.
After completing the mission, they collect their payment and continue their lives as assassins traveling across the world. Eventually, they settle in London, where Anna opens a bookstore while Moody lives in retirement. On his seventieth birthday, Anna gifts him a rare guitar he had long abandoned searching for. In return, Moody offers her ownership of her shop building but asks for one last favor—to help him find a man named Lucas Hayes, someone connected to a past he regrets. Anna agrees and begins her search with the help of her tech-savvy friend Benny.
As Anna digs deeper, she encounters a charming but suspicious man named Rembrandt at her shop. Soon after, she receives crucial data from Benny about Lucas, but when she goes to share it with Moody, she finds him dead in his bathtub. Shocked, she rushes to Benny’s place only to discover he has also been killed. Realizing she is being targeted, Anna barely survives another attack at her bookstore by faking her death and escaping.
Determined to uncover the truth, she examines the information Benny left behind and learns that Lucas was once hospitalized and connected to a larger conspiracy involving his father, Edward Hayes. Although Edward was believed to have died in a car bombing years ago, Anna suspects there is more to the story. Following the trail, she travels back to Vietnam, where she reconnects with an old acquaintance named Billy and uses his help to arrange a meeting with a man linked to Edward’s operations.
The meeting quickly turns violent when a betrayal occurs, leading to chaos and Anna being captured. She is imprisoned and tortured for information but refuses to reveal her motives. Unexpectedly, Rembrandt appears and reveals he is working for the same organization behind everything, though he claims he had no involvement in the deaths of her allies. Despite the danger, he shows a strange interest in her and ensures she is kept alive—for now.
After narrowly escaping execution, Anna recovers and reflects on her past, remembering how Moody raised and trained her after saving her life. Driven by loyalty and grief, she becomes even more determined to avenge him. Her investigation leads her to an orphanage where Lucas once lived under a different identity. There, she learns that Lucas is now unable to communicate, leaving her with more questions than answers.
As tension builds, Anna and Rembrandt cross paths again, their relationship shifting between hostility and attraction. Meanwhile, enemies close in from all sides. Anna confronts another key figure tied to the conspiracy, only for the situation to spiral further into violence. During the chaos, she is injured but saved at the last moment by someone she thought was gone—Moody himself.
He reveals that he faked his death as part of a plan to draw out Edward Hayes, who is actually alive. Moody admits his past mistakes, including helping Edward fake his own death years ago, and now seeks redemption by finishing what he started. At the same time, Rembrandt reports back to his employer, who is revealed to be Edward, now preparing for a high-profile gathering under heavy security.
Anna infiltrates the event in disguise and attempts to assassinate Edward, but Rembrandt intervenes, leading to a chaotic confrontation. While Anna escapes, Moody confronts Edward directly, revealing the truth about their past. Determined to atone, Moody sets a bomb, intending to kill both himself and Edward to end the cycle of violence.
After the explosion, Anna survives
and retreats to a place tied to her childhood, where memories of her family’s
tragic death resurface. Rembrandt finds her there, and the two share a tense
final moment. Anna expresses her desire to leave behind the life of an
assassin, but she knows she can never truly be free while people like him still
exist. With no other choice, they aim their guns at each other, and shots are
fired—bringing the story to an uncertain and dramatic conclusion.
