Why did they call the film “Cleaner"?

Physically assault her fellow soldier later She became Window cleaner in one of the tallest buildings in London. One day the building was invaded by terrorist radical activists while she was on top of the building outside cleaning the window. She had to do everything to deal with the situation since Her younger brother was inside the hotel.

My recommendations about the film

After watching the film "Cleaner”, I realized that its concept is not entirely new to the world of films it’s like some kind Hard target clone, also not much entertaining since most of the explosion does not look really but CG (Computer Generated), it’s like you are watching a video game or animation.

The film talks about an environmental radical activist trying to expose corruptions, they hold more than 250 people as hostages at an energy company’s annual event in a hotel building. Their intention changed after the betrayal happened within their ranks who’s ready to kill everyone.  Now the task remains in the hands of ex-military named Joey Locke (Daisy Ridley) whose working as window Cleaner to help the hostages involves his brother trapped inside the hotel building.

The main task of Joey Locke is to make sure her brother named "Michael" who is autistic is safe from environmental terrorists group planned to expose wealth people who are engaging into activities that cause environmental pollution.

The film is boring to watch cause there is a lot of talking which I was not expecting also Daisy use almost an hour of the film spent hanging outside the window on the top of the building attempt to get inside. As film fan I was upsetting since only few minutes of action but the remaining time is wasted.

The weirdest part of the film is when Joey asked to shoot the pedestrians in order to attract the attention of police officers to come and more ridiculous things is Joey missing the shot less than 90 meters even though the film painted her as the skilled shooter.

If you have high expectations to see intense actions you choose the wrong movie, Cleaner will not fulfill your desire. The movie wants us to engage more on radical activists who are willing to go far to make sure their objectives are fulfilled.

Large amount of time is spent on showing the activist recording the hostages confess their crimes against nature, the activist’s intention is to release the recordings to world and making sure the hostages are punished accordingly.

Daisy tries her best to perform better but sadly the movie did not meet the fans expectations and it seems like a joke, maybe the script was trash because film fans across the sites expressed their disappointment on the film through ratings for example in rotten tomatoes the film is rated 52%, IMDb rated 5.2/10, Roger Ebert 2.5/4, Metacritic 51% and Letterboxd 2.3 stars.

Generally, the film Cleaner contains some scenes that are entertaining and enjoyable to watch but other scenes are not good they lack decency actions and are boring to watch, so go watch at your own risk, you might like it.
