War Machine [ 2026 ]

Finding Decent movie to watch is becoming more difficult as time goes by, I, was trying so hard to search for what to watch that's when I came across the film "War Machine" before watching I decided to dig deeper about the movie by watching trailer and reading summary about it.

I, found out the Starring of film is Alan Ritchson, I like the guy just by watching the series Jack Reacher, I believe the guy is talented so the film must be good, my believe was right, he did the best job and delivered the best Action Movie so far. I'm getting Predator vibes from this movie.

The film contains the mixture of Sci-fi, action, war and Drama. At the beginning we see military convoy stuck in the middle of the desert in Afghanistan, soon another convoy arrive to help, two brothers one from arrived convoy another from broken down convoy. Brothers seem to get along very well, one brother tries to convince another that they should apply to become Army Rangers, suddenly they are attacked by Taliban insurgents. All soldiers were killed but the Sergeant, got knee injury which was much severe. Despite of his severe injury, he used to remain strength to carry his brother who is highly wounded back to base which was almost Ten kilometer away, due to his injury the Sergeant passed out before reaching at the base, during the time he was out sadly his brother died.

After Sergeant gained consciousness, he found out his brother has gone forever. Later the Sergeant was given Silver Star as an award for bravely.

Twenty-four (24) month later, to honor his brothers wish to become Ranger, the Sergeant decided to take an assignment to join a battalion of 75th Ranger Regiment, and receive number 81 as candidate name. During his training 81 performance was outstanding but the problem he does not get along with other candidates and rejects the duty of a team leader, even though his record is amazing.

While training underwater 81 lost consciousness almost drown, leaders of the army Sergeant Major Sheridan and First Sergeant Torres doubt about the mental status of 81 and advise him to quit from the program in order to get enough time to recover from PTSD but 81 reject. Army leader Sheridan and Torres gave him a chance to continue and assigned him to be leader of team for the last mission before qualifying as a Ranger. The mission was conducted in densely forest, 81 and his crew were required to search for classified army aircraft and save its pilot.

During the rescue mission inside forest, information came out concerning huge asteroid passing across the earth and it starts to break into small parts and falls into earth.

Huge blast from the clouds shocks the crew while inside the Forest continued with the task, the blast cut off all means communications. 81 and his crew discover weird looking objects near the river; in their mind they believed maybe its classified aircraft they were asked to look for. So the crew decide to detonate the bomb on top of it, they were shocks the explosive did nothing to unknown objects ,while they keep wondering suddenly  the unknown objects starts to change it'd form and became a battle machine starts to chase and destroy the crew,  machine overpowered the crew and kill most of them,81 and his crew has no ability to fight back due to empty rounds in their guns chamber.

Few crew members left alive and some suffers severe injury, 81 as a team leader decide told other to carry 7 whose knees was injured. The machine kept looking for the crew, the crew decided to fight back with everything they have despite being overpowered by the machine the crew did not want to go down easily as fights continues all members of the crew were killed except 81 and 7.

Later 81 saw Machine trying to make some kind of communication into the space,81 carries 7 into the forest and hide him behind the trees. 81 discover that there is a ventilation system in machine so he decided to call it towards the abandoned construction site. Then 81 puts machine into a tight position and pours a lot small rocks into the ventilation system, leading to the high heat in the system of the machine which resulted into explosion of machine. 81 carrying 7 in his shoulder completed the mission and reach to the destination which was Ranger camp. At the Ranger camp,  the camp leader reveals to 81 that the machine are alien weapons  from space and they are here for war against humans, 81 told the camp leader and other soldier about the weakness of the machine, if you want to defeat the machine  target the ventilation  system.81 got accepted to join 75th Ranger Regiment and asked to lead war against alien machine.
